Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha, also called Gugu - is a British stage actress and film actor. Gugu gained notoriety after appearing on the BBC's Doctor Who,' a British science-fiction television show. Handler was blessed with a joyful and healthy life within a thriving neighborhood. At the age of 19 she made the move into Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. To help support her family, Handler began to work as an actress. However, when she was aged 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time profession because she realized her story telling talents. Handler began her career in the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly which was a reality program with a hidden-camera/practical joke. This reality show ran from 2002-2005. The host appeared on various shows, such as Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show The Practice as well as My Wife and Kids. Handler started working for The Tonight Show as a correspondent. Handler received her first big break in 2006, when she began hosting her own show on E! It was called The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran for two seasons. The following year, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up comedy shows. In 2010, she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were revealed.
